We are a small family business hiring out our 2 lovely caravans. As a family we have been coming to Skipsea Sands for over 65 years.

My Mum & Dad had three caravans, two on Southfield and one on Westfield. My Aunties and Uncles had their caravans on Northfield. I remember when there were bungalows at the top of the cliff and train carriages behind on the second row. There was a shop and amusements, this has all gone now! When I was a teenager I used to drink in the Kings and Queens pub and the Sportsman, this seems so long ago.

Top and bottom is, my family loved our holidays and we would like other people to make their own memories as we did.

We have had many caravan holidays over the years which more towards Filey area. We discovered this site thorough the UKcaravans4hire site. I'm not exaggerating when I say we've just had the best weeks holiday in a very long time. We have 3 kids and my in-law's also came away with us. The caravan was spacious for us all. Location is next to the sea/beach using an unofficial path down to it. Only a couple of minutes walk to the shops, arcades, restaurant, leisure facilities. The caravan is also in a very quiet location. Every morning on the veranda I could look out at the sea whilst sipping on a coffee. The NISA shop on site is a little pricey but there is a post office /shop in the village which is 2 minutes in a car and a lot cheaper, it has everything. Before arrival the owner organised our swim days and passes so there was no queues or disappointment and our week was already pre-planned before arrival. The extra of crazy golf and bowling are booked through reception. 12 minutes drive to Bridlington. There is also a cracking beach near the site (Fraisthorpe) which is less than 10 minutes in a car (£5 all day parking) it has a CAFE and toilets on site. Me and my lads walked down the beach to Bridlington. We also went to Bridlington Animal Park which is also a short drive. On the only day we had bad weather we went to the sweet factory which has a huge soft play area and a huge sweet shop to keep the kids entertained. All the staff on site are very friendly and welcoming. It felt we'd done so much in such a short time. We will definitely be going again. Highly recommended.

Just back from a fantastic week here. Caravan was clean and well stocked with games and play station. Even nice wine glasses which is a bonus. Lovely seating area on the decking to enjoy my coffee! Pitch is one back from the sea so lovely view as well. Lear Leisure team were on hand for anything. I would highly recommend

Just got back from a beautifull week in carols caravan and what a fantastic caravan, so well equiped with everything you need, i love how homely they have made the van and its lovely holiday theme, with its stunning and amazing sea view and fantastic decking and seats and table such a brilliant touch, i also love how well they have stocked the van with things to do like games console, board games card games and dvd,s etc really great entertainment, and as for carol such a lovely friendly lady whos a fantastic host and could not be anymore helpfull, i honestly cant reccomend lear leisure caravans enough, i simply cant wait to rebook and get back there later in the year, so anyone looking at these reviews what are you waiting for get booking....it comes highly reccomended..!!!
